Most Chiswick Book Festival events take place in venues near Turnham Green Underground station in Chiswick, west London. Many buses go along Chiswick High Road or along Turnham Green Terrace.
Disabled access
St Michael & All Angels Church and Parish Hall, ArtsEd, Chiswick House Garden Pavilion, Boston Room at the George IV, The Chiswick Cinema have full disabled access. However, the theatre in The Tabard is accessed through a narrow staircase and unfortunately does not have a lift.
Timings
Unless otherwise stated sessions are an hour long with a change-over period of up to an hour between each. Some children’s events are shorter.
Food and drink
Refreshments will be on sale in the George IV, Theatre at the Tabard, The Chiswick Cinema and Hogarth’s House. Coffee and cakes will be on sale outside St Michael & All Angels Church, and there are three cafes close to the church. Chiswick is well supplied with restaurants, cafes, wine bars and pubs, all within a few minutes’ walk of the Festival venues.
