2019 Chiswick Book Festival crowds surround St Michael & All Angels Church in Bedford Park, Chiswick, for a book signing by How To Train Your Dragon author and Children's Laureate Cressida Cowell.

We are delighted to announce that the ever-popular Cressida Cowell and Rob Biddulph will return to our Children’s Festival this year and that Greg James will make his first appearance here.

On Saturday morning, September 10th, in St Michael & All Angels Church Cressida Cowell, author of the hugely popular How to Train Your Dragon series will talk about her new book Which Way to Anywhere, taking children on an exciting new adventure. Age 7+ .

Also on that morning, Greg James and Chris Smith lead a fun-filled story telling session to stimulate young imaginations on behalf of Read Hour UK. Ideal for ages 8-12. Save the date: tickets on sale in the last week of July.

At St Michael & All Angels Church on Saturday September 17th at 2pm, author and illustrator Rob Biddulph returns to lead a fun session based on his latest book Peanut Jones and the Twelve Portals, the second magical adventure in the Peanut Jones series which he launched at last year’s Chiswick Book Festival. Age 8+

As previously announced, the prizes for our Young People’s Poetry Competition will be presented by David Wood (called ‘The national children’s dramatist’ by The Times, for The Gingerbread Man and his adaptations of The BFG  and The Witches). It’s at 4.30pm on Friday September 9th in St Michael & All Angels Church.
