Chiswick Auctions, will be joining us at the Chiswick Book Festival 2021 to provide free and confidential valuations, in everything from fine art to furniture to jewellery

3.30pm: The Tsarina’s Daughter: Ellen Alpsten **
Peter the Great is dead, and the fight is on for the crown of Russia in the new novel by Ellen Alpsten, author of Tsarina. Peter’s sole surviving child, Elizabeth, is Christianity’s most lovely Princess, but four times her hereditary rights are ignored and her inheritance pilfered. EARLIER IN THE FESTIVAL

12 Noon: Palace of Palms: Tropical Dreams And The Making of Kew **
In her acclaimed book, now out in paperback, cultural historian Kate Teltscher tells the human story of the iconic Palm House at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, and the men who conceived, realised and maintained it. This session is a special collaboration with the Chiswick Flower Market, which is celebrating its first anniversary with a weekend of special events. Come to the talk on Saturday September 4th, then visit the market on  Sunday 5th.
