Beer, Books and Chiswick
Join us for a light-hearted pub quiz in the historic Hock Cellar at Fuller’s Griffin Brewery, surrounded by beer memorabilia.
Quizmaster Alan Connor (former question editor, BBC Two’s Only Connect; author The Joy of Quiz) is setting the questions on local topics close to our hearts, including books, beer and Chiswick writers. Ticket price includes free Fuller’s bar (beer, wine, soft drinks) and awesome Icelandic hotdogs from Chilly Katz. You can also visit Fuller’s newly transformed Brewery Shop (open 10am-8pm). The Hock Cellar, Fuller’s Brewery, Chiswick Lane South, W4. £25 per head, tables/teams of four. Timing: 7.15pm – welcome with beer and hotdogs. 8pm-9pm – quiz. 9pm – prizes, plus scrumptious sweet bites and bar. Last orders 9.45pm.

On the eve of the Festival, over a glass of wine, Torin Douglas and Jo James showcase the wealth of local talent that Chiswick has to offer. Each author has just two minutes to speak about their book, making this a fast-paced, fun and fascinating evening. See this year’s authors and books. Supported by Chiswickbuzz.net, which will film the talks.
